Did stupidity push up Enthiran’s cost?

28 Sep

Pushed a button in my remote today morning, an ad in Sun TV popped up. Director Shankar was talking. He said that he and his team went to some desert in some country, there the song ‘Kathal anukal’ was shot. He went on explaining how only modified jeeps could navigate in those dunes.

Well whats the point? Why can’t this stupid director goto this desert in Rajhastan and get the same shot done? It looked stupid, stupid stupid stupid stupid. Wonder what the producers were doing, did not they have good advisors to question the director.

150 crores is not a big amount, the movie will make 50 crores before its first weekend. It will run in profit. It will be aired in Sun TV dozen times and its ad revenue will make up even if it has no box office collection. So the film is a commercial success. The Rajini craze will make it happen.

The point is, why Shankar is wasting so much money when it can be done far cheaper. I really don’t understand. He must follow Manirathnam. I have heard he (Mani) has never shot a scene outside India, yet his films rock.

Karthick… I accept you point . Its valid. Except the line “I have heard he (Mani) has never shot a scene outside India, yet his films rock.” particularly “yet his films rock.”

Mani’s flim are 90% pure copy work from Hollywood scripts. Hollywood movies always rocks… so mani’s tooo 🙂
