Ask the Alumnus Employees

Why its that no company refer their alumnus employees to the person who are seeking job? All companies want to know almost everything about the people who are applying for job. In fact they carry background checks. But once you are in, you experience politics, this and that which spoils your work and mind.

This 2013 was really turbulent for me. A deal with two companies turned sour. I found internal stuff to be unbearable and all were hidden between some bureaucratic stuff and stupid certification. One company even told developers to fill in time sheets! They could not differentiate between mechanical content development, their main business and coding.

I have learned one thing. If you seek contract or job from any company don’t believe the company. The company may show growth, optimistic forecast, a great technical team. But remember all are shrouded in a cloak you can’t see. If you get in expecting a decent work place you will be fooled.

To know about a company, goto  facebook or linked in, seek the company employees, better people who had worked there, message them and know about it. Ask the H.R why particular employee went out even though the company claims to be THE HEAVEN for work. With the H.R’s statement, cross reference with the employees weather the H.R did a diplomatic talk or a true stuff.

And one thing, don’t walk into a place expecting big buck raise. Salary is one thing, if you are talented you will be hired, so don’t worry about it, look for a good work place. Unfortunately no company has a open policy to let their employees to talk about the internal stuff in the external world. Employees had to quit to do so. That sucks, that ain’t democracy, that ain’t freedom.

Letting out secret is one thing, but criticizing about work culture in public domain must be allowed and bosses should be able to take on negative tweets against them in a sportive manner. Wonder when the people having power and money will change? Will they or there must brew a revolution?

Great I.T company in Chennai

I have tried regular job and I have been a consultant, had my own firms and blah blah. I find one thing common in I.T industry today. employees are simply treated as slaves. They must be worked out so that every praise from the client can be extracted showing off their work. This trend is prevalent in big I.T majors HCL, TCS, CTS, Wipro, Infosys and blah blah.

Many souls have been irrecoverably broken. On one side there is a mental torture from your company. On the other there is a torture from your family, which fails to understand you and forces you to stick with these slave trading majors.

Its not just these big majors,I have had problem with small companies too. In one company called Orxxxin xexxning, where I worked as tech specialist, I was invited into room one day and was said that I never worked for a month. I really walked into the cabin for a constructive meeting, then I was slapped with this ridiculous charges. This made me sleepless for two days and I quit. I am quiet sure if something like God exist, they will spit blood and die. More worst one of my friends called me after I quit and said that they said he did not perform for last one year. He was almost in tears.

In another company that supplies learning products called Exxerxus rightly located in Kilpauk (famous for its mental institute), I encountered a pure psycho. Though the company is not to be blamed, I wonder why they did not reign in on that psycho who would just yell on me for no reason. No wonder souls working under him were miserable. But there I also notice another guy called Suresh who was a excellent peoples man. If its not for him, the team would have disintegrated.

There is a middle and/or top layer in many companies which simply doesn’t work, which simply doesn’t know what technology is, yet its slightly smart enough to realize that it can fill its pockets with money earned by offering tech products and services and those people turn out to be those ghosts spoiling lifes of the people who work there.

What can middle class do? We live month by month. Just one month of no salary and have to make huge adjustments. I gave up. Just gave up in and thought that the team I had under my company was the luckiest. That gave me a little satisfaction. Thankfully people who worked under me reflect to the days under me as bliss. Its the greatest thing I have done in my life. I am very proud and happy about it.

But then. To my joy there is a company which does care for its employees, I just stumbled upon it. Its called Beyond Universe and its sister Inexgames. I teach Ruby on Rails there and know its employees personally. I have met its boss and and he seems to have “don’t push the employee” philosophy. All I have interacted are happy with that company. and I am so happy to be associated with it. Even its peon is happy. I have seen that no where. Not even in the firm I had.

Its boss Mr. Swamy seems to be a great listener. I only hope his philosophy spreads and every boss out there and makes them get a good heart like him. I am so happy to see a pocket among this city of slaves where people explore technology and strive to do things in the way they like.

If you are brilliant mind, try working there. don’t worry about money. You will become some one great. I hope that company stays blowing life into people forever.

300 hits on day one

I Love Ruby 2012 cover

So, I just added loop to Loops section and released my Ruby programming book I Love Ruby yesterday about 5:00 PM Indian Time. You can get it on . I set the url shortening service to track it. And the result is this , around 300 hits the first day. It baffled me.

Thank you people. Hope you benefit out it. I also thank The Pirate Bay. Without its Ebook section I would have never learned top class Ruby and never been inspired to share my work with the world. This book is absolutely free. Even its source is available. So share it with your friends, modify it, redistribute it.

About the covers

I Know many people in India, and those who haven’t seen a movie or a supermodel or a girl ever in their life have complained about the covers. All I can say to them is this: Stay young.

Whats More

If I have time (the universe is too chaotic to predict anything), I might add meta-programming chapter. Or meta-programming might be woven then and there in the book. Please write the comments about the book to my email or join its facebook group

Bagavat Geethas Highlight

Though a mythical and mostly misleading text, Bagavat geetha has some morals and thoughts in it that are quiet unparalled.

Who believes in who is important…..

I can’t believe the stupidity of God believers, they simply ignore science and fail to investigate what God really is and what are the psychological and environmental factors  process that led humans to create it. Well, this blog is not about that. Not to educate God believers that God does not exist, they are too stupid to understand that. But to tell this (well this blog is for stupid God believers):

Lets say that you are working in  a office in a diligent fashion, yet you get fired. The reason – your boss does not believe in you. No matter how much you loved the company you worked, if some one at the top believes that you don’t deserve to be there, you will be smoked out.

Now lets take God and you. Do you really think is important to believe in God? Or is it important that God believes in you? Well you are a guy / gal with clean conscience, never think of God, and  there is another one who does all wrong things, believes in God intensely and prays for forgiveness all the time. Who do you think God should believe and cast blessings?

Millions of people who go to temple are those who have committed sin, and they wish to think of God just to ask for forgiveness. Another bunch want to think of God to have a better life. Another bunch don’t believe the universe created by God has totally let them down and seek him to lift them up. These people seek God, what the heck they think? God is a moron or something? And there is a big bunch of people that preaches about God and fools people by telling that God helps those who have faith in him. Babe / Dude, NO, NEVER. God if he exists never helps those whom has faith in him, but will help those he has faith upon. Simple.

Why doesn’t the pope, Hindu and Muslim and other leaders preach this. Well, if they did so thy won’t have a following and hence no  business. Well, how do I know this? Just now God commanded me to write this blog. Promise! He was really white like a white washed house, he had not seen the sun for long and hasn’t tanned and looks like ghost. and he told me that the readers of the blog will deposit $1000 in my bank account if they truly believed him 😉

Only a open mind can survive an open world

Bradley Manning is in prison, Assange is in a prison, but Briton does not t say that it has restricted him. The world is certainly becoming more open, uncensored and brave, yet there are heck a lot of people who does not want it to be that way and they are doing all they can to clampdown on free people, but unfortunately for them that simply won’t work. Now none believes that western nations are a free society, India is a true democracy where bribes are illegal and blah blah….

People must decide for them self where they want to put them self, a open world where you are free enough to ignore stuff (if you wish so) and prove you case your own way ,or a walled garden where people who love censoring and want to hear things they want to hear and be stagnant. This applies to leaders, corporates, countries, families and individuals.

The problem is most people don’t see and acknowledge something coming, but thankfully non stupids are winning over the close minded stupids, and that’s great. Soon there will be a world only open and free minds can survive well and thrive, but it does not mean the old school people will vanish like a turning off a light bulb.

Widraw from Battle, win the War

George Washington

A couple of guys get tuition for their Information Technology and Electronics and Communication Engineering from me, and its quiet pathetic how they approach education. They seem not to have even the basic idea of Mathematics without which an engineer must not exist. I was able to prove to them 1/4 added to 1/2 is still 1/4 and they agreed! Okay, this blog is not about that.

One worrying thing about them is they have lack of planning, its almost zero. They come to me just to pass in the slip test without understanding the basics or to get the homework done. Well, people must be thought about war strategy, many of which can be applied in life. I am reminded of American war of Independence. When Washington took command of a team of people who were nothing more than rags, he fled from many battles and avoided the English, but kept on improving his armies skill. In five years they were kind of ready and in York Town when the French Navy blockaded Cornwallis by sea, his troops sieged and won the English.

Thats how studies should be. Even though one does not know 5th standard Mathematics while entering Engineering, one must not worry about slip tests and getting zero in it before others. One must prepare the core knowledge he has, and must build more knowledge upon it. Everything should be built upon ones understanding and not on ones ability to memorize things (though memory is important). If time is enough one can enter the final examinations with confidence and smile and not with anxiety.

மனதில் தோன்றியவை

நம்பிக்கை விஞ்ஞானமல்ல என்று புரியவேண்டும்

அது வீன்போனாலும் கவலையின்றி வாழ வேண்டும்;

மணிதனின் பல பேதமைகளை அறிய வேண்டும்

அவற்றை நமது வாழ்விலிருந்து களைய வேண்டும்;

துயருலகில் இன்பத்தை காண வேண்டும்

புத்தனைப்போல் ஞானத்தை வளர்க்க வேண்டும்

அதை விரும்பியோர்க்கு அள்ளி வழங்கவேண்டும்;

ஆசை என்னும் சாத்தானை ஆள வேண்டும்

ஊக்கமே சிறந்த செல்வமென உணரவேண்டும்

Rajnath must work to remove Sanskrit from Tamilian Temples

I kinda agree with Rajnath Singh (BJP leader) when he said English is a non-sense and it has ruined Sanskrit, an language spoken in ancient India. Yes Sanskrit is an Indian identity (or is it) and we have lost it. But Mr,. Rajnath why don’t you give out a statement that in temples across Tamilnadu where the mantram is told in Sanskrit, it must be replaced by Tamil (the language of the Tamils). in which way English is superior to Sanskrit and in which way Sanskrit is superior to Tamil?

This bloody Sanskrit guys and people who speak for it simply ignore the damages that bloody language has done to beautiful Tamil. Hindi which is an ugly language derived from Sanskrit is our national language just because most people speak it. Then if India goes by numbers crow but not the peacock should be national bird, rats not tiger should be our national animal.

Our Tamilian demands are simple. Our language which has the origins since Indus valley is the oldest language spoken in the Indus valley civilization and was here far ahead of Sanskrit. So Tamil is the true national language of India. Then why don;’t Tamil people get access to their God in their own language? Is it not a sin by Sanskrit people? Why should such a language and people who love it survive?

So Mr. Rajnath, you know which is the true national identity of India. So what you want? Vote bank politics so that you get the vote of Sanskrit and its derived language Hindi voters? Or truth politics where you can fight for Tamil and possibly loose your battle? Decide for yourself.
